Ryon Lane lives in Washington,DC,has a background in Political Science,Computer Engineering and Law,and is licensed to practice law in Oregon.
Before breaking his neck in September 2008,he competed in various long distance races including half-marathons,marathons,ultra-marathons and triathlons. Ryon avoided paralysis and is once again able pursue his love of running.
Ryon is currently training for the 2010 ING New York City Marathon,where he will run for Team Reeve and help raise funds for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation,which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research,and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants,information and advocacy.
When not training,Ryon enjoys spending time with his daughter,any time outdoors camping,hiking or fishing,volunteering,cooking,watching college football,traveling,films and reading good books.
